Prince and The Revolution perform songs from PR testing out material for the first time, including the title track which was cut and overdubbed for the movie from this performance.
This is vintage, old school Prince, it's funky and I love it. Especially how he closes out the show. This is also Wendy's debut to the world after Dez called it quits.
It's interesting watching this, the crowd's reaction to some songs that we all know and love from Purple Rain. I'll give them a pass, these songs were brand new at the time.
